Antique Edwardian sterling silver medallion pendant featuring ornate engraved detailing dating back to 1901. In the centre of the piece there is a space where an engraving could go, as well as the back of the pendant. The pendant has a smooth rose gold front while the rest of the piece is raised and engraved giving the piece a three dimensional feel, it is heavy in weight.
The piece has a number of hallmarks indicating the piece was hallmarked in 1901-1902 set in sterling silver and rose gold from Birmingham, England, made by W.W.C (William Walter Cashmore).
The necklace has been styled with a new sterling silver chain, the piece has that classic antique Victorian design, the piece was made just at the end of the Victorian era. The medal would have been worn on a pocket watch chain possibly awarded for a sports achievement or for decorative purposes.
